Subject + will, shall + be + Verb 1 เติม ing + ……….

เช่น I shall be working. We shall be living. You will be learning. He will be playing. She will be drinking. They will be cleaning. เราจะใช้ Future Continuous Tense เมื่อ… ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ 2 อย่างที่จะเกิดขึ้นก่อน – หลังกันในอนาคต ดังนี้ – เหตุการณ์ใดเกิดก่อนให้ใช้ Future Continuous Tense = Subject + will, shall + be + Verb 1 เติม ing – เหตุการณ์ใดที่เกิดที่หลังให้ใช้ Present Simple Tense= Subject + Verb 1 เช่น He (have) his breakfast when we (arrive) at this house tomorrow. He will be having his breakfast when we arrive at his house tomorrow. >> เขากำลังจะทานอาหารเช้าของเขาอยู่ เมื่อเราไปถึงบ้านของเขาวันพรุ่งนี้ การ ทานอาหารเช้า เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่ทำอยู่ก่อน การไปถึงบ้านเป็นเหตุการณ์ทีหลัง เพราะฉะนั้น ทานอาหารจึงแต่งด้วย Future Continuous Tense การไป ถึงบ้าน แต่งด้วย Present Simple Tense When we (call) on him tomorrow morning, he (water) in the garden. When we call on him tomorrow morning, he will be watering in the garden. >> ขณะที่เราไปเยี่ยมเขาเช้าวันพรุ่งนี้ เขากำลังจะรดน้ำดอกไม้อยู่ในสวน ขณะ ที่เราไปเยี่ยมนั้น เป็นเวลาที่เขากำลังรดน้ำดอกไม้อยู่ในสวน เพราะฉะนั้น “การรดน้ำ” ทำอยู่ก่อนจึงใช้ Future Continuous Tense ส่วน “ไปเยี่ยม” เกิดทีหลังจึงต้องใช้ Present Simple Tense ข้อสังเกต : Future Continuous Tense จะใช้คู่กับ Present Simple Tense เสมอ อย่าใช้ Future Continuous Tense คู่กับ Future Simple Tense เช่น : He will be sleeping when I shall visit him. : He will be sleeping when I visit him. เขาจะกำลังนอนหลับอยู่ เมื่อผมไปเยี่ยมเขา 2.  ใช้กับเหตุการณ์อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต ตามเวลาที่ระบุไว้อย่างชัดเจน เช่น    This time tomorrow I shall be flying to London. >> พรุ่งนี้เวลาเดียวกันนี้ ผม (คง) จะกำลังบินไปลอนดอน She will be sleeping at six o’clock tomorrow morning. >> หล่อน (คง) จะกำลังนอนหลับอยู่ เวลา 6 นาฬิกา ของเช้าวันพรุ่งนี้ 3.  ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ในอนาคตที่ได้ตัดสินใจแน่นอนแล้วว่า จะทำเช่นนี้จริงๆ เช่น    We shall be working all day tomorrow. >> พรุ่งนี้พวกเรา (ตัดสินใจแล้วว่า) จะทำงานทั้งวัน The David will be staying with us again this year. >> ครอบครัวเดวิด (กะว่า) จะมาพักอยู่กับเราอีกปีนี้ What will you be doing tomorrow ? >> พรุ่งนี้ (ทั้งวัน) คุณจะทำอะไร ? (ถ้าใช้เพียงว่า What will you do tomprrow ? ก็จะมีความหมายเพียงว่า “พรุ่งนี้จะทำอะไร” อาจจะไม่ทำทั้งวัน เพียงแต่ทำชั่วระยะเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่งเท่านั้น) แหล่งที่มา : MyFirstbrain
